In the year 1992 the company TAAKSROAD was founded in Stuttgart in southern Germany. At the beginning our company focused on building and the maintenance of expedition vehicles which were based on Land Rover cars. During this time period we organized and supported many expeditions to central and northern Africa, the Polar Circle, the Middle East and Asia. Our company gained a lot of experience and our knowledge has grown ever since. At the same time as we improved our expedition vehicles we started to develop our first rally race cars for the world famous Rally Dakar. Since 1996 we participated not only in the Dakar Rally but also in the World Cross Country Championship. Our experience has led us to many successful participations in the Rally Morocco, Tunis, Egypt, Dubai, Libya many European Bajas and the Master Rally. From our first steps into the world of racing and competing we started to build our own service and race trucks which were based on the platforms of MAN and Mercedes. With many years of engineering experience and successful participations we decided to expand into the international exclusive car building scene and launched our affiliate company MIRUS. Many projects were executed most of them were based on Mercedes cars. One of the most famous was to build one of the most exclusive and biggest convertibles in the world with a hardtop based on the Mercedes W215 also known as CL. This car was magnificent and made a huge impact at shows around the world in Monaco, Dubai, Moscow, Tokyo and Miami. Our experience, the cooperation with our partners and the variety of our projects has led us to the top of automotive engineering. From building and servicing race cars to developing the best service and race trucks or the most exclusive cars in the world, nothing is impossible. The only one who sets the limits is YOU!
